The CAX1 from Meinl is a caxixi of a small size. It is a percussion instrument that is often used in combination with a berimbau for, for example, capoeira music. The instrument is played in West Africa and South America, but in Brazil in particular. The CAX1 is made of braided rattan strings. This is a material that comes from the rattan palm and appears as long lianas in the subtropics. The bottom is made of coconut. When you shake with this caxixi, you will hear a high rattling sound like with maracas. This ensures that the instrument can be used well, for example, to keep the size.
